On March 31, a delegation from Italy visited Xiangmihu Subdistrict in Futian District, Shenzhen. The delegation included government and business representatives. It was led by the former chairman of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, and the head of the International Network for Small and Medium Enterprises. The group toured the Xiangmihu International Friendship Service Center.

This November, Shenzhen will host the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, marking the third time a Chinese city has held this prestigious international event, following Shanghai in 2001 and Beijing in 2014. Over the past 25 years, APEC has navigated the complexities of regional cooperation, serving as a testament to China’s steadfast commitment to the prosperity of the Asia-Pacific.

More than 600 legal and business experts from 20 countries and regions attended the 14th South China Business and Law Forum held at the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) Tower in Qianhai on March 21.

Shenzhen Mayor Qin Weizhong announced that the city, as host of the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, will strive to present a “Shenzhen Solution” aimed at fostering shared prosperity across the Asia-Pacific region.

China joined APEC in 1991.
