The Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats (Shekou MSCE) launched the first “Hello APEC” Shekou Culture Market at Shekou Fishing Street on Saturday. The event marked the beginning of a monthly series designed to build community excitement and engagement ahead of the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, scheduled for Shenzhen in 2026, while simultaneously celebrating the festive atmosphere of the Chinese Lunar New Year.

Shenzhen will spare no effort to provide professional, orderly and secure services for the APEC leaders’ meeting scheduled for Nov. 18–19, Mayor Qin Weizhong said at a press conference held during the fifth session of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress on Tuesday.

As China’s pioneering reform hub and the core engine of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), Shenzhen is leveraging digital service outsourcing to propel its information technology outsourcing (ITO) sector toward high-value, technology-intensive offerings.

Born out of China’s reform and opening-up, Shenzhen has thrived throughout the country’s economic and social transformation, serving as a testing ground and pioneer for bold new ideas.
