Design for the future, cooperate for prosperity
On April 28, the Shenzhen Global City of Design Roundtable Dialogue and Global Designers Conference was held. Representatives from "City of Design" in the Asia-Pacific region, industry experts and designers from Detroit in the U.S., Montreal in Canada, Whangarei in New Zealand, Seoul in South Korea, attended the event. They shared urban design policies and development strategies in the AI era, aiming to form reference paths in multiple dimensions.
A city reinventing itself
Oliver Völckers, a former computer scientist from Germany, now runs BeST Berliner Sensortechnik GmbH, a hardware company focused on developing tactile sensing for robots. Not long ago, Völckers made his first visit to Shenzhen and volunteered to participate in a networking event hosted by the city’s international maker community in Huaqiangbei. He spoke highly of Shenzhen’s innovation ecosystem, noting that it is a city that constantly reinvents itself.

On April 24, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen held its third International Undergraduate Admissions Open Day. Government representatives, principals and teachers from prestigious schools, as well as some international students and their parents from 18 countries attended the event.

International volunteers from 13 countries became“Futian cultural explorer,”visiting intangible cultural heritage venues, savoring authentic Cantonese cuisine, and ascending city landmarks.
