From Europe to China: A scientist's new chapter in SZ
Prof. Diana Boraschi, a member of the Top Italian Scientists Club and a winner of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, is a world-renowned immunologist. A key discovery in her work is the “Boraschi Loop,” an immunostimulatory fragment of the IL-1 molecule that plays an important role in regulating immune responses. Five years ago, her scientific journey brought her from Europe to China’s dynamic tech hub— Shenzhen.
Spartan Race in SZ
The 2026 Spartan Race season kicks off at Shenzhen’s Bijia Hill Park on March 14 and 15 with its first China Series event. Nearly 4,000 warriors gathered to push their limits, taking on the 5km Sprint and the 10km Super. Marius Cimpian, a PE teacher from Romania, finished first in the 10km Super in 1 hour, 7 minutes and 1 second. This is the second time the Spartan Race was held here.
