Located in Shekou, Nanshan District, Shenzhen Bay Port is a popular land border crossing for people living in western Shenzhen. It is the first border control point in the country with the immigration facilities of the Hong Kong side co-located in the same port building with the mainland side, which enables both individual travelers and vehicles to complete customs clearance of both the mainland and Hong Kong within a short distance. Although currently there is no Metro station available on either the Shenzhen or Hong Kong side, cross-border buses are available from Shenzhen Bay Port to various destinations in Hong Kong such as Jordon, Tsim Sha Tsui, Victoria Harbor and Disneyland. Shenzhen Metro Line 13 that starts at Shenzhen Bay Port is under construction and is slated to start service in 2025.
