Three high-speed railways link Shenzhen with other cities: the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, the Xiamen-Shenzhen High-speed Railway, and the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Railway.

Like “capillaries” of the city, public bus routes take people to most of the communities around Shenzhen. Riding buses is a fun and easy way of navigating and exploring the city.

As the only modern international cruise homeport in south China, Shekou Cruise Homeport, which integrates sea, land, air and railway networks, serves as a "sea gateway" that connects Shenzhen with Hong Kong, Macao and the rest of the world.

There are a total of 3,197 km of non-motorized vehicle lanes in Shenzhen now, up 236% compared with 2016; moreover, 27% of the city’s roads are for non-motorized vehicles.
