It's very possible that not many people know about Shenzhen's thousand-year-old fishing village, Hesou Ancient Village. Located about 900 meters away from the well-known Xichong Beach, Nan'ao Township, Hesou Ancient Village is one of the only remaining fishing villages in the city.

Nearly 30,000 square meters in area, the site was identified during archaeological surveys in 1981. Four excavation sites were investigated at the southeast, central, and northern areas of the site from 1985 to 2004.

The Qianzhen Girl's School was established by Christian missonaries in 1878. The two-storyed wooden building has endured the test of time over 130 years and has become a well-known scenic spot both at home and abroad.

​New Who Art Village in Guanlan, Longhua District is a popular venue for domestic and international artists to do residency projects.

Built in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), Longjin Stone Pagoda was used to guard Shajing and its residents, who believed that the pagoda could exorcise river monsters. Buddhist carvings can be found in the pagoda.

Zhixi Home School is in Shajing Subdistrict in Bao'an. It was established by Chen Caimao during the Guangxu Period of the Qing Dynasty. The main building is a post and panel structure built with redwood imported from Vietnam. The school is well-preserved and is a city-level historical and cultural site.

Maoshan Home School can be found just northeast of Fenghuang Ancient Village in Bao'an District. It was established in 1560 and covers an area of 223 square meters.

Located on Xunfu Street in Xixiang, Official Wang's Ancestral Hall was built in the Kangxi reign (1662-1722) during the Qing Dynasty to commemorate Wang Lairen, the then-governor of Guangdong who died in 1668.
