Drone delivery, telehealth and cross-border tech adoption took center stage as a delegation of MBA students from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) toured Longhua Oct. 21.
They visited Meituan’s national big data operations center for local services and consumption and the Shenzhen Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC). It was the delegation's third visit to the LICC since 2025.
The LICC has previously hosted Shenzhen Longhua-Russia business and financial matchmaking events and international cooperation meetings. Several local companies have reached preliminary cooperation intentions with Russian counterparts in intelligent manufacturing, new energy and cross-border trade.
This time, the delegation included representatives from Russian companies in transportation, health care, information technology and pharmaceuticals. The visit is part of the Shenzhen Digital Future Leaders Program, a flagship MSU initiative aimed at helping Russian MBA students better understand China's digital transformation and innovation-driven development, while fostering exchanges among young professionals and cooperation in technology, industry and talent development.

At the LICC, the delegation viewed exhibits on new energy and high-end medical devices, semiconductors and integrated circuits, and the low-altitude economy, gaining a close-up look at Longhua's innovation achievements.
A delegation member working in the pharmaceutical sector said his visit to Meituan's big data center showed him the convenience of drone delivery in China. Russia has similar technology and his personal experience using it has been positive, he said. However, regulatory restrictions have limited the use of drones in Russia, even though companies are technically ready to deploy them.
Speaking about APEC 2026, the delegation member said the meetings would also address access to medical technology, including its adoption across borders and barriers to telehealth in the Asia-Pacific region. He cited communication difficulties as a major obstacle but praised China's openness to dialogue, noting that China-Russia cooperation has grown closer over the past five years.
