Longhua to build a trade powerhouse through intelligent manufacturing

A palm-sized Mini PC, a 3D printer that materializes digital models within minutes, and handheld photography gear for trying out — these tech products, manufactured by Longhua-based enterprises and already gaining traction in overseas markets, will hit the shelves of the Longhua Technology Souvenir Center this month, allowing visitors to experience them on-site, place orders, and take them home.

The center, located at the Shenzhen North Railway Station, is expected to complete construction on Oct. 26 and start trial operations at the end of the month. On Sept. 28, the Global Cross-Border All-Category Product Selection Center (GCBSC) at Lianrun Building officially opened. Its roughly 5,000-square-meter exhibition hall brings together 100 premium local enterprises, catering to overseas buyers and cross-border sellers.

The Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC), established in 2023, has emerged as a hub connecting global government agencies, sister cities, international organizations, and overseas chambers of commerce and industry.

Linking G-end government resources on one front, anchoring B-end businesses to global expansion on another, and reaching C-end consumers directly in their homes on the third, these three tracks converge into one core — the philosophy of “3C2E.”

Mapping G, B, C: three centers serving three audiences

Serving the G-end, the LICC operates as the district’s core To-G platform for external engagement, spearheading local foreign affairs and international economic and trade exchanges. Functioning as the government’s external-facing window, LICC engages with overseas local governments, foreign diplomatic missions in China, and international organizations. Through sister-city exchanges, foreign delegation hosting, and the organization of international official events, the center establishes a robust G2G (government-to-government) cooperation network.

An overview of the GCBSC's facilities and integrated functions is presented.

Catering to the B-end, the GCBSC pairs its roughly 5,000-square-meter offline exhibition hall with a synchronized online sourcing platform. This integrated space consolidates functions spanning live-streaming, training, investment promotion, product selection, operations, exhibition and sales, incubation, and logistics. The primary clientele encompasses overseas buyers, cross-border platform sellers, and fledgling overseas expansion teams, while the Center tackles specialized demands in product sourcing, selection, fulfillment, and compliance.

Targeting the C-end, the Longhua Technology Souvenir Center makes “taking products home” the ultimate goal guiding its entire design. Shenzhen North Railway Station — the high-speed rail gateway linking the city to the rest of China — draws dense passenger traffic and a high concentration of business travelers. During waits or transfers, travelers can easily stop by the store to try out devices under guidance. Those who find a favorite can place an order on the spot, then either carry it onto the train or have it delivered straight to their doorstep.

Though differing in target users and scenarios, these three centers nevertheless share the same mission: translating Longhua’s industrial strengths into tangible orders and sales.

Three centers, one playbook

The “3C2E” philosophy underpins “Longhua Intelligent Manufacturing” as it expands across domestic and international markets. Cross-border (cross-border internationalization) links global procurement to cross-border platforms. Collection (curated premium products) curates premium products with a rigorous selection mechanism, ensuring Longhua-made items are credible and traceable. Chain (full-chain closed loop) integrates display, sampling, and delivery into a full-loop chain, achieving 21-day turnaround via a flexible “small-batch, quick-response” supply chain and a “pre-shipment inspection” supervision station for high-frequency shipments. Ecology (holistic ecosystem) allows the LICC to pool diplomatic and government resources, the GCBSC to consolidate industrial services and the Technology Souvenir Center to build consumer reputation. Entrepreneurship (innovation and entrepreneurship) incubates new exporters and provides a launchpad for new products.

In the “3C2E” framework, Cross-border selects quality products; Collection organizes trustworthy supply; Chain unblocks the transaction chain; Ecology sustains cooperation and reputation; and Entrepreneurship fosters new entities and new brands.

Policy empowerment: a two-pronged approach

On the overseas expansion front, Longhua rolled out Version 3.0 of the Industrial Overseas Expansion Service List, featuring 30 measures across seven sections — government services, supply chain, finance, compliance, talent, overseas localization, and digital intelligence. This integrated framework covers the entire chain from customs clearance, taxation, and logistics to finance, compliance, talent, overseas setup, and digital marketing.

Meanwhile, the district unveiled the Industry Outbound Alliance of Longhua District, shifting overseas expansion services from “one-way government supply” to “two-way government-business synergy.” A batch of tangible initiatives are also implemented, including the strategic cooperation framework agreement between Longhua District Government and Fosun Trade, and the dedicated empowerment program for Longhua enterprises launched by Amazon Global Selling.

Buoyed by these three platforms, the district will sustain and upgrade its “Policy, Platform, Space, and Ecosystem” service framework, driving more “Longhua Intelligent Manufacturing” and “Longhua Brands” to both expand into overseas markets and find their way into homes nationwide.
