Metro stations brighten up for APEC Summit

As Shenzhen prepares to host the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in November, its metro system has been transformed into a vibrant welcome mat for international delegations.

Seven major transport hubs, including Gangxia North, Futian, and Shenzhen North, now feature APEC-themed decorations and signage to greet arriving guests.

Electronic screens across stations display bilingual slogans such as “Shenzhen Welcomes You” and “Meet Shenzhen, Witness Miracles,” while select metro lines have even introduced APEC-themed trains wrapped in fresh designs.

This visual overhaul also brightens the daily commute for residents, who are frequently seen snapping photos or taking selfies in the stations.
