JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen hosts signature JW Garden Party

In tribute to J. Willard Marriott, founder of the Marriott International Hospitality Group, and his enduring love for nature, JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen recently held its signature JW Garden Party at the on-site JW Garden.

Guests gathered amid the urban greenery of the garden, sharing an autumn rendezvous blending natural aesthetics and exquisite culinary craftsmanship under the sunset glow and starlit sky.

As an iconic JW Marriott brand initiative, the JW Garden follows the philosophy of "From Garden to Table," seamlessly integrating horticultural beauty, seasonal ingredients and thoughtful cuisine.

JW Garden, located at the fourth floor, is a standout outdoor social venue of JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen that artfully combines urban architecture and natural gardening. As dusk fell over the city, lights flickered on one after another across the garden. Carried by gentle evening breezes, the scent of plants and herbs filled the air. Guests found a serene retreat away from the urban hustle, chatting freely in an elegant relaxed setting and experiencing the distinctive lifestyle aesthetics of JW Marriott.

Drawing inspiration from autumn plants, fruits and vegetables in the JW Garden, the hotel designed a host of exclusive experiences within this lush green space. The venue decor and table settings echoed the harvest theme. Custom seed-paper place cards and delicate embroidered napkins were prepared for guests to spark their affection for nature. Upholding sustainability principles, the hotel set up a coffee scrub DIY workshop at the event. Guests handcrafted natural body care products using recycled coffee grounds to soothe senses and rejuvenate the body and mind.

Dew Spinach & Asparagus Velouté

The hotel’s executive chef curated a bespoke dinner menu featuring freshly picked herbs straight from the JW Garden paired with seasonal produce. A selection of garden-exclusive dishes was served: Whole-grain Chia Bread with Rosemary Butter, Thinly Sliced Conch, Spinach & Asparagus Soup, and Beef Tenderloin with Argentine Green Sauce, bringing vibrant natural flavors to the table.

Believing that connection with nature is essential for nurturing the soul, the executive chef prepared handmade basil tomato sauce and pesto sauce, whose raw ingredients were all harvested from the hotel’s JW Garden, letting guests take home the fresh flavors of the garden.

Bridged by nature and celebrated through fine cuisine, the party is more than a multi-sensory feast. It also serves as a medium for JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen to convey brand ethos.
