The 2026 World Computing-Power Network Conference (WCNC 2026) will be held Oct. 15 to 16 in Nanshan District, bringing together a Turing Award laureate, experts from China and abroad, and industry representatives to discuss advances in computing networks, high-performance computing, AI and high-speed connectivity.

As large AI models, embodied intelligence and scientific computing advance, computing power has become a key part of the digital economy’s infrastructure. The conference will focus on how to connect computing resources across regions and platforms, coordinate their use and make them more widely accessible.

The two-day event will include an opening ceremony, a main forum, eight subforums, academic paper sessions and project showcases. Topics will include computing-network data and infrastructure, computer architecture and systems, AI and computing-resource scheduling, optical communications and high-speed connectivity, and intelligent applications and services.

Organizers said the conference aims to provide an international platform for academic exchange and industry cooperation, and to promote research collaboration, technological innovation and coordination across the global computing sector.

The event will also feature major research announcements, innovation exhibits and awards for outstanding papers, with the aim of connecting research with practical applications and helping bring computing-network technologies from laboratories into wider use.

WCNC 2026 is organized by Pengcheng Laboratory, the World Computing-Power Network Consortium, the Pengcheng Laboratory Science and Education Foundation, and the Alliance of New Generation Artificial Intelligence Industry Technology Innovation.

Researchers, business representatives, university students and faculty, and members of the public interested in artificial intelligence and digital technology can register at the conference website: http://wcnc2026.wcnc.ac.cn/. Registration closes today.
