A Shenzhen-based Chinese contractor is accelerating construction of a new electronics factory in Thailand’s Chachoengsao Province, as the two countries deepen industrial cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The project, undertaken by China Construction Industrial & Energy Engineering Group Co. Ltd. Southern Company
for Fulltech Fiber Glass (Thailand) Co. Ltd., covers 46,000 square meters. Once completed, the plant will produce electronic materials for AI servers and low-orbit satellites, with products aimed at Southeast Asian markets.

The facility is expected to support the development of a local printed circuit board electronics cluster and provide industrial backing for the digital economy in ASEAN member states.
The project has faced challenges including Thailand’s rainy climate and difficulties coordinating cross-border supplies. The Chinese team has prioritized planning, optimizing design, and organizing supply chains while drawing on local resources, according to the company.
More than 100 workers from China and Thailand are working together at the site, carrying out foundation excavation, piling, and temporary facility construction. Piling work is 65% complete, with piling and earthworks proceeding simultaneously.
A project manager said the team will press ahead with construction while hiring local laborers, describing the effort as part of the company’s overseas social responsibility. The company aims to make the project a benchmark for smart electronics factory construction in Southeast Asia and to deepen China-Thailand industrial chain cooperation.
