Bao’an has retained its position as Shenzhen’s leading district in the development of green factories, with 69 companies newly included in the city’s 2026 list of municipal-level green factories.
The list, recently released by the city’s industry and information technology bureau, includes 176 companies across the city. Bao’an’s newly recognized companies account for 39.2% of the total, placing the district first in Shenzhen for the second consecutive year.
Bao’an now has 50 nationally recognized green factories and 99 municipal-level green factories, both the highest totals among Shenzhen’s districts. The number of newly selected municipal-level green factories in Bao’an has more than doubled in a year, rising from 30 in 2025 to 69 this year.

The newly recognized companies cover a wide range of industries, with a particularly strong presence in key manufacturing sectors. A number of printed circuit board (PCB) companies, including Bomin Electronics, Q&D Circuits, LAT PCB and Palwonn Electronics, were included on the list. Companies in optoelectronics, precision manufacturing, automated equipment, power supplies and energy also performed strongly.
The concentration of PCB manufacturers in the latest list is especially significant. The sector has traditionally faced major challenges related to energy consumption and wastewater treatment. The inclusion of so many PCB companies demonstrates that Bao’an’s green transformation is advancing not only in emerging industries, but also in the more difficult areas of traditional manufacturing.
In addition, most of the newly selected companies are located in the subdistricts of Fuhai, Shiyan, Songgang and Shajing, indicating that green development is not limited to isolated examples but is spreading across a broader industrial landscape.
Through regular follow-up services, Bao’an encourages companies to integrate green principles into every stage of production and make environmental improvement part of their long-term operations. The approach makes the transition to sustainable manufacturing an internal driver of higher efficiency, improved quality and stronger competitiveness.
