Huawei's HarmonyOS Select ecosystem introduced new partner products at its fall recommendation event in Shenzhen on Sept. 24, showcasing the latest developments in smart home technology.
Zdeer, a Chinese home health technology brand, appeared as a HarmonyOS Select partner and unveiled a co-developed smart sonic electric toothbrush, the HarmonyOS Select Zdeer Smart Sonic Toothbrush (Care90 and Care90 Plus), marking the company's further expansion into smart oral care.

The launch comes as oral care shifts from basic cleaning toward more refined maintenance. A white paper by market research firm S&P Consulting found that 57% of users worry long-term electric toothbrush use may damage gums, while 51% have alternated between manual and electric brushing or reverted to manual brushing. Fewer than 10% of Chinese adults have healthy periodontal conditions, according to the white paper, reflecting problems with some traditional electric toothbrushes, including hard brush heads, strong vibrations and potential gum irritation.
Zdeer said it focused on balancing cleaning power and gum protection, adjusting the product's motor, brush heads and body materials rather than simply adding features. The toothbrush uses a soft-vibration motor with a pressure-detection mechanism that releases power only after the brush enters the mouth, the company said.

The product was jointly developed by Huawei and Zdeer. Huawei contributed capabilities in intelligence, connectivity, chips and operating systems, and participated in product definition, design, research and development, quality control and sales.
Through the HarmonyOS ecosystem, the device can connect with smart terminals, and users can adjust functions via the Huawei Smart Life app. Cleaning data can be synced to generate oral health reports and care recommendations.
HarmonyOS Select is a product brand under Huawei's HarmonyOS ecosystem. It partners with companies to build smart terminal products based on the HarmonyOS system, covering areas such as smart home, sports and health, and business travel.
