IDPAN, a womenswear brand under Shenzhen Maijiaonu Group, presented its 2027 spring collection at the Shenzhen Futian Fashion Showcase during Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 on the afternoon of Sept. 22. The event gave the Shenzhen-based brand an opportunity to present its designs to an international fashion audience.

At Milan’s historic Rotonda della Besana, static architecture and flowing garments echoed one another. Titled “From Milan, Back to Milan,” the show extended IDPAN’s 2027 annual theme, “Tribute to Craftsmanship,” combining architectural ideas rooted in European design with natural materials, meticulous handwork and contemporary tailoring. Proportions and lines inspired by buildings were reinterpreted through clothing.

For IDPAN, architecture begins with proportion and takes shape through space. These ideas informed the collection’s approach to fashion design: how a silhouette turns, how layers create room to breathe and how light reveals texture. They were translated into three-dimensional tailoring with a strong sense of spatial structure.

Drawing on the aesthetics of the Italian Renaissance and European architectural traditions, IDPAN presented contemporary womenswear with a minimalist retro aesthetic. Architectural proportion and order served as compositional references. In the garments, lines were defined through tailoring, while layered and draped fabrics created a sense of depth and dimension.

This architectural perspective gave the collection’s simple silhouettes details that reward close attention. Its sense of volume came from the relationships between lines and from the way fabrics interacted with space. The emphasis on proportion and detail reinforced IDPAN’s image of the independent, intellectually minded woman, transforming artistic inspiration into a distinctive clothing style.

The 2027 spring collection expressed the theme “Tribute to Craftsmanship” through its choice of materials and production techniques. At a time of AI-driven design and high-speed manufacturing, the brand returned its focus to the value of handmade creation: the arrangement of fibers, the preservation of texture and the way a single process can change a fabric’s character. In this collection, craftsmanship became part of the language of the clothing itself.

Natural materials such as linen and grass fibers in soft, neutral tones create an understated visual impression. The density of the weave, the texture of the knit and the fall of the fabric reveal greater complexity on closer inspection. The combination of meticulous handwork and contemporary tailoring gives the clean silhouettes a rich tactile quality.

Meanwhile, architectural inspiration is also reflected in handling materials. Handwork enhances the natural textures of the fibers, while tailoring organizes their relationships within the garment. Craftsmanship thus becomes part of the process, giving the collection its distinctive character through texture, proportion and structure.

The collection brings the ease of vacation dressing into urban wear, carrying its minimalist retro aesthetic across different settings. For IDPAN, a garment’s appeal lies in the balance between a clear design identity and practical wearing needs.

The brand believes this approach also reflects how a womenswear label can build lasting recognition. The silhouettes, textures and styling presented at the Milan event express IDPAN’s understanding of contemporary womenswear while creating a coherent foundation for its future brand communications.
