Shenzhen Safari Park crafts festive food platters for World Rhino Day

September 22 marks World Rhino Day, aimed at raising public awareness of rhino species and conservation efforts. At Shenzhen Safari Park, keepers designed a festive food platter tailored to the diet of the park's white rhinos and the characteristics of seasonal ingredients. 

Using tender elephant grass as the staple base, they incorporated carrots, apples, sweet potatoes, and alfalfa pellets. The elevated centerpiece featured pumpkins, watermelons, leafy greens, and other fruits and vegetables arranged in a staggered, layered fashion to create an exquisite holiday treat display.
