Sports courts open inside Metro station

Huangmugang Sports Hall, operated by Shenzhen Metro Group, opened this morning with seven newly added standard badminton courts.

As the first sports venue in Shenzhen located inside a Metro station, Huangmugang Sports Hall supports Shenzhen's effort to build a "10-minute fitness circle," turning Metro stations into fitness activity hubs within easy reach of residents.

After the upgrade, Huangmugang Sports Hall covers a total area of about 4,000 square meters. It now has 10 badminton courts, 3 billiard tables and 1 pickleball court, along with a gym and rooms for dance and yoga.

The newly upgraded venue is located on the first basement floor of Huangmugang Comprehensive Transport Hub, close to exits 1 and 13. 

Since the first phase of Huangmugang Sports Hall opened in October 2024, this venue — where people can complete "commuting plus exercise" without leaving the Metro station — has precisely met urban residents' demand for exercise in fragmented time slots, truly weaving fitness into their daily routes.
