Jubaopen AI Ecological Innovation Community for embodied AI

The Jubaopen AI Ecological Innovation Community was inaugurated at Qianhai Kexing Science Park in Bao’an District on Sept. 1, becoming the first embodied AI innovation community in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to be driven by data services and incubation support.

Jointly developed by a Bao’an District-owned enterprise and industry leader OneRobotics, the platform aims to provide data infrastructure, research and development support, industrial incubation and application resources for embodied intelligence companies and other emerging technology ventures.

The name Jubaopen reflects the project’s industrial positioning and development vision. “Ju” refers to its focus on embodied intelligence, particularly physical AI technologies and their industrial applications, while also extending to other frontier technology fields. “Bao” represents Bao’an, which provides a strong manufacturing base, diverse application scenarios and policy support. “Pen,” meaning a basin or fertile ground, symbolizes the platform’s role in nurturing and attracting high-quality projects and teams in embodied intelligence, artificial intelligence, semiconductors and future energy.

“Choosing Bao’an was not only a decision based on its location, but also on its well-developed upstream and downstream industrial chain,” said Du Xiyang, founder of Hynhe Technology. “Many of our downstream supporting companies are based here, which gives us strong confidence in our future development.”

Located on the eighth through 10th floors of Building 2 at Qianhai Kexing Science Park, the Jubaopen community covers 6,039 square meters. It is dedicated to providing data services for embodied intelligence and incubating frontier technology companies.

Staffers are testing robots at the Jubaopen AI Ecological Innovation Community. 

The community will serve technology companies from across Shenzhen and other GBA cities by offering standardized public services, including data collection, algorithm training, model iteration and product testing. These services are expected to reduce companies’ R&D costs and shorten the path to commercialization.

Its integrated data-service capabilities will support the entire process from data collection and processing to delivery, helping early-stage companies grow more quickly. The platform will also connect innovation teams with broader industrial resources as they expand into domestic and international markets.

The center has introduced a “1+N” application scenario model. The “1” refers to standardized robot training scenarios within the industrial park, covering six key areas: smart homes, motion capture, services for older adults, new retail, 3C manufacturing and AI for science.

The “N” represents a broader network of real-world scenarios across Bao’an, including homes, sports venues, eldercare institutions, semiconductor factories and commercial complexes. By connecting these sites, the platform will create a dynamic cycle linking data collection, scenario iteration and model optimization.

The center can support the simultaneous collection of data from hundreds of terminals and cover between 50 and 100 types of task scenarios. It is expected to help resident companies reduce their initial R&D costs by 30% to 50%, while substantially accelerating product iteration and market deployment.

Jubaopen will also work with banks, securities firms and venture-capital institutions to establish a full-chain financial service system covering angel investment, venture capital, private equity, and industrial mergers and acquisitions. The goal is to create a closed-loop model combining investment, incubation and industrial implementation.

Resident teams will receive ready-to-use research and office facilities, testing laboratories, targeted policy information and connections to industry resources.
