Forum puts zero-carbon future in focus

In September, Shenzhen will once again host a major professional event dedicated to green and low-carbon development with a 13-year legacy. The 2026 Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Forum & Shenzhen National Low-Carbon City Forum will be held Sept. 22-23 at the Low-Carbon City Convention and Exhibition Center in Longgang District, Shenzhen.

深圳的九月，一场持续了十三年的绿色低碳专业盛会即将再次拉开帷幕。2026碳达峰碳中和论坛暨深圳国家低碳城论坛将于9月22日至23日在深圳市龙岗区低碳城会展中心举行。

With the theme “Innovating for a Green Economy, Building a Zero-Carbon Future for Cities,” this year's forum will follow a “1+3” format, featuring one opening ceremony and 14 events across three major sections. From industry leaders and financial institutions to scholars and young people, the forum will explore a key question through practical discussions: How can cities move toward net zero?

以“创新发展绿色经济，共筑城市零碳未来”为主题，本届论坛采用“1+3”模式，设置1场开幕式和三大核心板块共14场活动。从产业龙头到金融机构，从专业学者到青少年，这场论坛将通过多维度交流探讨一个重要问题：城市如何迈向零碳？

Founded in 2013, the forum has been held successfully for 13 editions, attracting guests from more than 70 countries and regions. As an influential professional forum in China's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality field, it is more than a conference. It also serves as an important platform for showcasing China's progress toward its “dual-carbon” goals and promoting green, low-carbon development.

深圳国家低碳城论坛创办于2013年，已成功举办十三届，吸引了来自全球70多个国家和地区的嘉宾参与。作为我国“双碳”领域具有较高知名度和影响力的专业论坛，它不仅是一场会议，也是展示我国落实“双碳”目标、促进绿色低碳发展的重要平台。

Over the two-day event, 14 activities will focus on three themes: green and low-carbon industries, zero-carbon city development, and public action for a greener future. Discussions will cover some of the most closely watched areas in the sector, from new energy and AI to carbon markets and the circular economy. A technology roadshow and project matchmaking session will bring technology developers, investors and industry players together to explore concrete cooperation opportunities.

两天会期内，共14场活动将围绕“绿色低碳产业”“零碳城市建设”“绿色全民行动”三大主题展开。从新能源、人工智能到碳市场、循环经济，论坛将覆盖当前绿色低碳产业备受关注的多个领域。其中，“技术路演及项目对接会”将直接搭建技术、资本和产业方的交流平台，推动务实合作。

If the industry section asks what technologies can do, the city development section focuses on how cities can put them into practice. Topics will range from carbon budget assessment and green buildings to new urban infrastructure and corporate carbon management. The forum will also release a list of demonstration bases, turning discussions into practical urban examples that can be visited and replicated.

如果说“产业”板块回答的是“技术能做什么”，那么“建设”板块关注的就是“一座城市该怎么做”。议题将从碳预算考核、绿色建筑、新市政建设延伸至企业碳管理实践，并通过“示范基地发布”将讨论转化为可参观、可复制的城市实践样本。

The “Green Action for All” section will focus on what individuals and organizations can do. From corporate ESG practices to low-carbon education for young people, the forum aims to bring green and low-carbon ideas beyond the conference venue and into businesses, communities and classrooms.

“绿色全民行动”板块则聚焦“每个人能做什么”。从企业ESG治理到青少年低碳科普，论坛希望推动绿色低碳理念从会场走向企业、社区和中小学课堂。

The forum is also a window into Shenzhen's long-term green transition. Aligned with the strategic priorities of the 15th Five-Year Plan, this year’s event will focus on new quality productive forces and key areas including energy, industry, buildings and ecology. It will promote the application of green technologies and help build a modern urban development model that is efficient, low-carbon, smart and resilient.

论坛也是观察深圳长期绿色转型实践的一扇窗口。本届论坛将锚定“十五五”战略布局，以新质生产力为核心驱动，聚焦能源、工业、建筑、生态等重点领域，推动绿色技术示范应用，构建高效、低碳、智能、韧性的现代化城市绿色发展体系。
