Just a short walk from Lilisonggang Station on Metro Line 13, the historic village of Lilisonggang offers a tranquil journey into the past.

At the heart of the village stands the century-old Liang Ancestral Hall, a place of worship for the Liang clan in Shenzhen and around the world. Each year, descendants from near and far return to pay their respects and support local education through scholarships and awards.

The village’s 1436 Cultural District — named after the year the village was founded — is the heart of the area. The 1436 Meeting Hall preserves an ancient well and old stone-paved lanes, while a historical diorama and folk-style oil paintings bring the village’s centuries-old story to life.

The 1436 Food Street offers a feast of local flavors, including signature roast chicken with crispy skin and tender meat, herbal chicken soup, Cantonese roast goose and a variety of regional snacks. As night falls, the street comes alive with colorful lights, lively chatter and the unmistakable warmth of a bustling food market.

More than 170 members of the Liang clan from Southeast Asia, the Chinese mainland, as well as China's Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan recently gathered in Lisonglang Community in Guangming, returning to a village their ancestors helped establish nearly 600 years ago.
