Shenzhen completes bay area cycling network with fifth 'Happyrest·Shanhaiyi' Station

The fifth "Happyrest·Shanhaiyi" cycling station, located at the Liyayuan Community Party and Mass Service Center in Xili Subdistrict, has officially opened. This milestone marks the completion of a five-station cycling network across the Shenzhen Bay area.
The first cycling service station debuted at Shenzhen Bay Park in May, situated in parking lot No. 1 and adjacent to the Futian Mangrove Nature Reserve. Subsequently, three more stations were rolled out at Haiyun Park, Shenzhen Bay Sports Center, and Haifeng Sports Park.
"Cycling around Shenzhen Bay is the best family activity for weekends," said Ms. Dai, a local resident. She shared that while she used to want to take her family out for a ride, bringing their own bikes was a hassle, and renting them was nearly impossible. "Now, with these stations, we can rent bikes anytime and return them at any location. It’s incredibly convenient."

As a key supporting service within Shenzhen’s "Mountains and Seas Connecting the City" cycling system, the five stations now feature a seamless "rent anywhere, return anywhere" service. This allows citizens to embark on a spontaneous cycling trip whenever they please.
The stations offer a diverse fleet, including aluminum alloy bikes, carbon fiber mountain bikes, road bikes, and children's bicycles, catering to urban sightseeing, athletic cycling, and family outings. The bikes are available for both short-term and long-term flexible rentals. Additionally, the stations are equipped with helmets, saddle covers, and basic bike repair services, and provide route consultations. They also feature coffee, beverages, and lounge areas, offering riders a comfortable space to rest and recharge. Operating hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
