Shenzhen has been included in the Michelin Guide for the first time, with seven restaurants awarded Michelin stars, according to the Michelin Guide Guangzhou & Shenzhen 2026 unveiled yesterday at a ceremony at The MixC in Luohu District.

As the newest destination covered by the Michelin Guide, the city has two two-star restaurants and five one-star restaurants.

The two-star restaurants are The Bay by Chef Fei (东湾) and Yun Jing (云璟), both specializing in Cantonese cuisine.

The five one-star restaurants are Chao Shang Chao (潮上潮), specializing in Chaozhou cuisine; Ensue and Fumée (拂鸣), both offering innovative cuisine; Opus 388, serving French contemporary cuisine; and Xin Rong Ji (新荣记), specializing in Taizhou cuisine.

Guangzhou has three two-star restaurants and 17 one-star restaurants in this year's selection.

In addition to the 27 Michelin-starred restaurants, the guide also features 73 Bib Gourmand restaurants and 76 Michelin Selected restaurants. The Bib Gourmand distinction recognizes restaurants offering good food at moderate prices.

Of the Bib Gourmand restaurants, 21 are in Shenzhen, while 31 Shenzhen restaurants are listed in the Michelin Selected category.
