Shenzhen launched its first one-stop hub combining currency exhange, volunteer services and corporate product displays at the east square of the Shenzhen North Railway Station on Aug. 13. The Shenzhen North Railway Station International Service Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with extended hours during holidays as needed.

The center is a key initiative under the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government's Work Plan for Accelerating the Development of a Modern International Metropolis (2025–2027) and Longhua District's Action Plan for Seizing APEC Opportunities and Expanding Asia-Pacific Regional Cooperation. Led by the Longhua District Foreign Affairs Office and developed in coordination with Minzhi Subdistrict and other agencies, the project moved swiftly through site selection, exterior design and coordination to completion.
Part of Longhua’s 10 major internationalization initiatives for the year, the center integrates resources including the station’s transit hub, the Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC), the Shenzhen North International Talent Station, currency exchange, visa and endorsement services, and volunteer stations. It creates a “10-minute international service circle” around Shenzhen North Railway Station, offering inbound travelers one-stop access to transit inquiries, foreign-exchange services, and visa and travel endorsement services immediately upon arrival.

Local enterprises including iFlytek, Triumph Glass, Meituan, NanoAR and SUNTA contributed hardware such as AI translation screens, power-generating glass and surveillance cameras. A multilingual volunteer force includes 66 civil servants, more than 20 government staff with foreign-language proficiency, expatriate volunteers from more than 50 countries, as well as student and corporate volunteers.
Services include multilingual consultations supported by real-time translation devices, guidance on policies relevant to international visitors, city-culture materials and free display space for local high-tech products. The center also serves as a gateway to the LICC, which provides a multilingual service window covering 43 languages and an APEC card service window, offering more than 500 services, from government affairs to overseas investment advice.
