About 100 fishing boats set out from Shuangyong Wharf in Dapeng New Area yesterday during the 2026 Nan’ao Fishing Festival as commercial fishing resumed. China first implemented its summer fishing moratorium in 1995 to restore fish stocks and ensure sustainable development.
