As emerging technologies become increasingly integrated into daily life, more international tourists are seeking tech-focused experiences in Chinese cities. In Shenzhen, China’s tech hub, international visitors are drawn to cutting-edge innovations, from robot services and drone-delivered takeout to local stores offering Chinese “new specialty products,” including AI-powered glasses, drones and intelligent robots. These experiences are giving tourists a unique perspective on life in the city of innovation. As of July 12, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport had handled a record 10.22 million foreign travelers, up 32.5% from a year earlier.
