Sunwoda sees rapid AI Data Center Storage order growth in H1

In the first half of 2026, Sunwoda witnessed rapid growth in Artificial Intelligence Data Center (AIDC) energy storage orders. In response to the robust market demand, the company is leveraging its long-term accumulation of battery technology, energy storage system capabilities, and large-scale manufacturing advantages to accelerate its layout in the new field of energy solutions for the AI era.

The large-scale application of AI is driving the rapid development of global computing power infrastructure. AI data centers impose extremely high demands on power supplies, making backup power solutions tailored for AIDC scenarios a critical component of computing infrastructure construction.

To address the requirements of high power, high reliability, and high efficiency in AIDC applications, Sunwoda has launched dedicated energy storage solutions. Its products feature highly integrated and modular all-in-one designs, which effectively reduce the number of cabinets and footprint, thereby lowering the total cost of ownership (TCO).

Sunwoda has established full-chain capabilities spanning battery cells, PACK, BMS (battery management systems), integrated BMS + bidirectional DCDC modules, system integration, testing and verification, and complete system delivery. The capabilities are continuously being adapted to AIDC applications.

Yang Kongliang, R&D chief engineer of the Network Power Product Line at Sunwoda, said that the accelerated construction of AI data centers brought shifting demands for energy storage.

Sunwoda is currently accelerating the construction of production capacity for AIDC battery cells, battery packs, and system integration. Two brand-new production lines are scheduled to start operation simultaneously in the third quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, the expansion of overseas production capacity is steadily progressing, with relevant plans expected to be implemented gradually starting in 2027.

Relying on the advantages of its entire industry chain, Yang said Sunwoda will continue to refine its manufacturing system, which is expected to enhance its ability to handle large-scale orders and strengthen its global delivery capabilities.
