Leading Shenzhen's showing is MO Bar Shenzhen at No. 5, followed by Obsidian Bar at No. 10.
MO Bar Shenzhen, perched on the 79th floor of Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen, is known for its Chinese culture-inspired cocktail menu, distinctive retro-industrial design and sweeping skyline views. The bar debuted on the list last year at No. 21 before climbing to No. 5 this year.
Located in the Ping An Finance Center, Obsidian Bar is part of the Fannou House Group. After placing No. 51 on last year's extended list, it made a remarkable leap into this year's top 10.
A total of 11 bars from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area made this year's ranking, led by Hong Kong with seven entries. Shenzhen followed with two, while Guangzhou and Macao each had one.
Notably, Guangzhou's Hope & Sesame claimed the No. 1 spot, marking the first time a bar from the Chinese mainland has topped the ranking.
Bangkok was this year's best-represented city with eight bars on the list, followed by Hong Kong with seven. Seoul, Singapore and Jakarta each had four bars in the top 50.
Launched in 2016, Asia's 50 Best Bars is one of the region's most influential bar industry awards. The annual ranking is determined by the votes of more than 300 members of the Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy.
