120 Shenzhen firms showcase prowess at WAIC

More than 1,100 exhibitors, including 120 Shenzhen-based firms such as Huawei and Tencent, are showcasing over 3,000 products and technologies at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) in Shanghai from July 17 to 20. 

BYD showcased nine core technologies, including its fifth-generation DM hybrid system, the God’s Eye advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), flash charging, and the Xuanji A3 autonomous-driving chip, demonstrating end-to-end capabilities from batteries to intelligent driving.

At Honor’s booth, visitors queued to try the company’s new Robot Phone, which pairs embodied-AI interaction with flagship imaging features. The device signals a shift toward next-generation AI terminals, creating a more seamless experience between digital functions and the real world. The phone also drew attention far beyond the tech sector at the FIFA World Cup, where its YOYO AI assistant correctly predicted Spain’s championship, sparking widespread discussion.

Honor Robot Phone

Another highlight of the exhibition was the NVIDIA DGX Spark AI supercomputer, presented by Xuxiang Technology under the Futian-based Colorful Group. Despite being only palm-sized, this computing powerhouse delivers up to 1 PFLOP of AI computing power, capable of independently supporting the fine-tuning and inference of large models with hundreds of billions of parameters. 

Representatives from the Xuxiang team reported securing orders for computing equipment from multiple universities, research institutions, and enterprises. The team said that the event yielded dozens of high-quality business leads, which not only fostered cooperative development but also provided valuable firsthand insights into current market demands.

Hosin Global exhibited its enterprise-grade SSDs and DDR5 RDIMM high-end storage products, designed to meet the large-scale deployment needs of AI data centers. According to the booth representative, these storage solutions received strong recognition from professional clients, helping the company reinforce its industry reputation and initiate detailed discussions on large-scale orders.

Meanwhile, Botong Intelligent reached a preliminary cooperation agreement worth 20 million yuan with major telecommunications operators and banking institutions for its Feijia AI video security detection system, establishing a solid foundation for the company's expansion into broader markets.

Innovative software and application tools also drew substantial interest. Yixiang Innovation Technology demonstrated its Flyelep AI platform, which generates e-commerce detail pages with a single click, attracting investment and technology promotion partnerships from cloud service providers and cross-border service platforms. 

Daily Technology showcased “Daily Law Search,” a specialized legal AI tool capable of performing legal research, generating documents, reviewing contracts, and analyzing evidence. The platform caught the attention of prominent investment institutions and led to technical collaborations with cloud vendors.

In the robotics sector, Elephant Robotics drew continuous crowds with a lineup of interactive intelligent devices. Its Mercury B1 dual-arm semi-humanoid robot demonstrated hand-gesture recognition by taking, processing, and printing instant photos for visitors. The company also showcased its Meta series of simulation companion pets and the ultraArm P1 multifunctional desktop programmable robotic arm. A representative from Elephant Robotics noted that the conference exceeded expectations by connecting the company with new potential channel partners from Spain, Russia, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia, building on their existing overseas educational market presence. 

Additionally, Luxi Tech demonstrated the world's largest native brain-inspired model alongside its SafeClaw intelligent terminal assistants and wearable device series, establishing initial contacts with buyers from China’s Hong Kong, Russia, and the Middle East.

Pingshan-based Emdoor Digital Technology launched Ailyn, an in-house AI intelligence hub that integrates hardware and software. Built for individual, family, enterprise, and industrial scenarios, Ailyn brings AI-powered device collaboration closer to everyday life. “Demand for privacy-focused on-device AI and cross-device connectivity has exceeded our expectations,” said Meng Decheng, who led Emdoor’s booth at WAIC.

Luxshare Precision showcased its NEXTiX LEGION solution for AI computing infrastructure. Powered by the iX Architecture, the solution addresses various computing demands ranging from single-machine deployment to massive 10,000-card clusters, supporting intelligent scheduling, high-efficiency computing, high-speed interconnection, and flexible scalability.

Edge AI emerged as another major highlight at the conference. MeiG Smart Technology launched its self-developed AI model network and performance data visualization platform, MeiG MIND. Designed to solve common development barriers such as model selection, performance evaluation, and engineering deployment, the platform offers developers an all-in-one solution that integrates model evaluation, resource downloading, and deployment toolchains.

Tongchuan Technology highlighted its harmoCore series of lightweight harmonic joints. By optimizing structural design, the company reduced the size and weight of the joints while integrating output torque sensors. The solution improves the dynamic response and payload performance of robots, providing a compact, high-performance joint solution for embodied AI robots.

Daimon Robotics focused on tactile sensing, a critical capability for the long-term development of robotics. The company has developed proprietary tactile sensors and established a complete technical framework spanning perception, data, and models. The system enables robots to perceive contact states in real time during precise operations like grasping, transporting, and assembling, allowing them to adjust their force and movements autonomously to enhance stability in complex scenarios.

In the field of complete machine manufacturing, Xuanji Dynamics showcased its Hypertron-T01 heavy-duty quadruped robot and Hypertron-SW01 medium-sized quadruped robot. The company demonstrated the practical application capabilities of these robots in inspection, transportation, and industrial operations through its modular platforms.

On the algorithmic front, AInnobic continues to advance the development of general embodied AI large models. In April, the company released WALL-B, an embodied AI large model, exploring unified perception, understanding, and execution capabilities for robots. Recently, the company completed four rounds of financing, pushing its post-investment valuation past 20 billion yuan. This makes AInnobic the first embodied AI enterprise in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to exceed a valuation of 20 billion yuan. CTO Wang’s speech at the World Model Forum further underscores the company's growing technical influence in the field of foundational embodied AI models.
