Cloud AI OPC Community launched for MSME startups

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Big Data Center has unveiled the country’s first cloud-based AI platform for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) — the Cloud AI OPC Community. It is designed to reduce barriers to AI entrepreneurship and ease cost pressures in computing, AI models, and data.
The platform offers three initiatives:
1. Free basic cloud resources, including cloud servers, storage, databases, and elastic file services, for all startups and MSMEs.
2. Low-cost AI models and limited free data API quotas to support small-sample R&D, scenario testing, and market analysis.
3. Full-chain entrepreneurship services, covering business analysis, opportunity identification and risk avoidance, plus industry matching, training, financing, and incubation guidance.
Traditionally, advanced computing, industrial data, and commercial large models have been concentrated among major industry players, leaving smaller startups facing high costs, limited data access, and little room for trial and error.
The Cloud AI OPC Community breaks this pattern by integrating high-quality industrial data, intelligent tools, and expert think-tank services — without relying on physical infrastructure — to support startups, industrial parks, and local governments.
For industrial parks, the platform provides cloud resources, exclusive data, and AI tools to close digital service gaps and embed AI into office work, production, customer service, and supply chain management, along with training, consulting, and resource-matching events.
For local governments, it offers proprietary industrial data, AI-based analysis tools, and think-tank support for industry monitoring, policy and trend assessment, and targeted investment promotion.
The platform is powered by the Big Data Center’s DIKI (Data-Information-Knowledge-Intelligence) innovation intelligence dataset, which aggregates corporate, patent, talent, investment, financing, policy, sci-tech achievement, and industrial-chain data.
So far, more than 1,000 seed enterprises have joined, with partners including the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The community plans to further strengthen its integrated “data-computing-application” capabilities and build a replicable public-service model for AI entrepreneurship.
