New 'Kung Fu Soccer' bus tour hits Shenzhen

From July 18 to Aug. 31, the Shenzhen Bus Group will debut a special film-themed bus tour tracing the iconic locations of the beloved sports comedy "Kung Fu Soccer."

As one of the first major blockbusters to extensively use Shenzhen’s urban landscapes — from its stadiums to its coastal vistas — the film helped put the city on the global cinematic map. The ongoing success of the film, which recently surpassed 744 million yuan at the box office as of July 15, continues to draw fans to these local landmarks decades after its release.

The route kicks off at the Shenzhen Swimming and Diving Center, heading first to the Shenzhen Sports Center Stadium — a pivotal filming site. The tour then travels eastward across the city, concluding at Xichong Resort in Dapeng New District, where the film’s memorable beach training sequences were shot.
