The Richu Dongshan Sea Coastal Resort, located at Double Moon Bay in Huizhou’s Huidong County, launched its summer holiday events on July 10. The events will run through Aug. 22.
The program features a wide range of activities, including a seaside water-splashing carnival, a giant ao fish parade, family water-gun battles, a starlit concert, a beach fireworks show, a seafood festival and a car-trunk market, creating a one-stop seaside vacation destination for visitors of all ages.

Children play in the water as a giant ao fish parade takes place on the beach.
Taking full advantage of its stunning ocean views, the resort blends the sea, beach, lawn and water-splashing fun into a unique coastal experience. The events are held at scheduled times every day and are open to the public free of charge. The resort also provides full amenities, including water buckets, water guns and shower facilities. Foam parties, family water-gun battles, clown interactions, bubble shows, duck-catching contests and live performances by trendy bands run throughout the day and night, with more than 30 themed activities designed to help both adults and children escape the summer heat and enjoy seaside fun.

Tourists enjoy the Reef Underground River project.
One of the highlights is the Reef Underground River project, which makes use of the area’s unique volcanic reef landscape to create a 430-meter immersive drifting experience with clear, refreshing seawater and mountain spring water. Visitors can also enjoy paddle boarding, water swings, kayaking, bumper boats and climbing nets, making it suitable for all ages.
At night, the exclusive night drift offers a magical experience, with glowing waters and starry skies creating a dreamlike seascape reminiscent of a real-life Life of Pi adventure. The resort also features heated sea-spring bathhouses, open-air beach baths, an indoor children’s playground and parent-child DIY workshops, covering a full range of family vacation needs.
All rooms at the Richu Dongshan Sea Coastal Resort face the sea and come with a panoramic balcony of more than 15 square meters, offering sweeping ocean views the moment guests open the window. The hotel offers a variety of room types, including full-sea-view rooms, sea-view suites, family-themed suites and pet-friendly rooms, meeting the needs of travelers of all ages. Guests can also enjoy unlimited access to popular photo spots such as the reef bar, reef chapel and spiral observation tower with their room key cards, for a fully immersive resort experience.
On June 1 this year, the Richu Dongshan Sea Coastal Resort — formerly known as Lovers’ Bay Scenic Area — was officially recognized as a national AAA-rated tourist attraction. The scenic area features 1.8 kilometers of pristine coastline surrounded by three bays and three ridges, and is known as one of China’s most beautiful coastlines. More than just a place to stay, it is a coastal resort destination that brings together breathtaking mountain-and-sea scenery and immersive cultural tourism experiences.
