Shenzhen Museum, Nanshan Museum extend opening hours for summer vacation

Visitors will have more time to explore two of Shenzhen's major museums this summer, as both Shenzhen Museum and Nanshan Museum have introduced extended opening hours for summer vacation.

Shenzhen Museum

From July 1 to Aug. 31, Shenzhen Museum's history and folk culture division on Jintian Road and ancient art division on Tongxin Road will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, with last admission at 8:30 p.m.

The Shenzhen Reform and Opening-Up Exhibition Hall within the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning will operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, with last admission also at 8:30 p.m.

Opening hours for the Dongjiang River Guerrilla Command Headquarters in Luohu District will remain unchanged at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

Nanshan Museum

From July 4 to Aug. 31, Nanshan Museum will introduce additional evening opening hours on Fridays and Sundays, while its regular Saturday evening schedule will remain in place.

During the extended evening hours, only the museum's temporary exhibitions will remain open. Permanent exhibition halls will not be accessible.

The museum's opening hours will be:

Tuesday to Thursday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m., last admission 5:30 p.m.

Friday to Sunday: 10 a.m.–9 p.m., last admission 8:30 p.m.
