5,191 SUIT students graduate with 95.76% placement rate

Shenzhen University of Information Technology (SUIT) celebrated the graduation of 5,191 full-time students during its 2026 commencement ceremony held on July 5.

The graduating class demonstrated exceptional competitiveness, achieving a high initial placement rate of 95.76%.

According to university data, 4,218 graduates have entered the workforce, while 647 students have successfully transitioned to undergraduate institutions to further their education. Notably, Shenzhen remains the primary destination for talent, with 70% of employed graduates choosing to stay in the city. A significant portion, 1,295 graduates, secured positions at industry giants, including Huawei and BYD.

The class of 2026 has set a high bar for excellence. The university honored 275 "Outstanding Graduates," and 19 individuals were recognized as winners or nominees for the prestigious "SUIT Person of the Year" award. Additionally, 27 students were recipients of the national scholarship.

The group of students also showed marked improvement in technical skills. Students secured 122 awards in provincial-level and national skill competitions, an increase of 14%over the previous year. This included 15 national-level awards, four of which were first prizes. Furthermore, 69 graduates earned top-tier professional industry certifications during their time at the university.

During the ceremony, student representative Lin Mingquan reflected on her journey through three themes: "encounter, support, and pursuit." Faculty representative Cheng Dongsheng addressed the graduates, urging them to become "pace-setters" and "dedicated practitioners" within the rapidly evolving digital era.
