Bao'an's first HK International Airport city terminal opens

Flying from Hong Kong International Airport has become easier for Bao’an residents after the first Hong Kong airport city terminal in Bao’an District opened in Fuyong Subdistrict on June 30.

Located at the Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhen Airport in Huaide, Fuyong Subdistrict, the new facility brings essential airport services directly to the doorstep of residents in Bao’an District. The city terminal is authorized by the Airport Authority Hong Kong and operated by Kwoon Chung Trans-Island Passenger Transport Limited, marking a strategic extension of Hong Kong's aviation hub services into Bao’an.

Designed to streamline the cross-border travel experience, the city terminal is equipped with real-time flight information screens synchronized with Hong Kong International Airport. Travelers can use on-site self-service kiosks to check flight status, complete check-in procedures for participating airlines, and print their boarding passes. 

Airport officials noted that currently baggage drop-off and ticket booking services are not yet available at the location. Passengers requiring baggage check are advised to book their tickets in advance via official airline channels and allow sufficient time to handle luggage once they reach Hong Kong International Airport.

To facilitate the journey to the Hong Kong airport, a dedicated cross-border bus service has been launched. The trip from the Bao’an City Terminal to Hong Kong International Airport typically takes between 1.5 and 2 hours.

Beyond the convenience of transport and check-in, Yang Aisong, deputy general manager of Kwoon Chung Trans-Island, highlighted that eligible passengers who utilize the city terminal services can process their departure tax refunds in accordance with legal requirements, further enhancing the seamless and cost-effective nature of this new cross-border transit link.
