Organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the carnival followed recent high-level meetings on carbon reduction in key sectors and practical ESG training sessions.

The event featured four interactive experience zones and a marketplace showcasing a wide range of sustainable products. By transforming professional energy-saving knowledge into engaging hands-on activities, the carnival attracted a large number of residents and families.

The four experience zones adopted a "stamp-collection" challenge to encourage public participation.

At the "Green Carbon Toss Paradise," participants learned about waste sorting by throwing sandbags into corresponding bins. The "Low-Carbon Inspiration Graffiti Hall" used a "charades-style" format where participants drew keywords such as "new energy vehicles," "photovoltaic panels," "ESG reports," and "sponge cities" to spread green concepts through creativity.

Meanwhile, the "Low-carbon Theme Puzzle" area proved popular with children, using visual puzzles to illustrate scenarios like electricity conservation and green travel. Additionally, the "herbal plastic reduction workshop" provided natural ingredients like mint and honeysuckle for residents to create their own mosquito repellent, advocating the reduction of single-use chemical products and promoting a moderate, eco-friendly lifestyle.

Participants who completed the challenges were rewarded with customized eco-friendly gifts, creating an educational "learning-through-playing" experience.

Residents browse sustainable products at the Green Brand Market, a featured attraction of the low-carbon energy carnival in Shenzhen.

Parallel to the interactive zones, the Green Brand Market brought together six local Shenzhen brands, including Bama Tea, PIPO, Origami Gift, Yueqi Culture, Yuki Handmade, and Sounding Nut Shell, to display sustainable products, ranging from ecological tea and sustainable thermal cups to creative origami and items made from recycled nut shells. This showcase aimed to guide the public toward green consumption habits and foster a new trend of low-carbon living.

By engaging both enterprises and residents through interactive experiences, the event strengthened policy-industry synergy and encouraged community-wide participation, expanding the influence of energy-saving and carbon-reduction advocacy across Shenzhen.
