The Shenzhen Bay Park has become the first park in Shenzhen to introduce Huawei’s Harmony smart parking system, according to the Shenzhen Park Management Center.
The upgrade, which covers six parking lots and 12 lanes, is designed to provide a faster, smoother, and more convenient experience for visitors. Equipped with AI-enabled smart cameras, the system can recognize license plates in milliseconds.

By prepaying fees via smartphone, drivers can benefit from an "automatic release" feature where barriers lift instantly upon plate recognition, effectively eliminating the need to scan QR codes or queue at exit gates.
The system offers a deeply integrated experience for the HarmonyOS ecosystem. For users of Harmony-powered smartphones, linking license plates is simple through the "速停车" (Quick Parking) mini-program, allowing for instant fee inquiries and payments. Harmony-enabled vehicles can synchronize license plate data directly via ADS (Advanced Driving System) maps. Reservations, payments, and notifications can be managed directly from a smartwatch.

Reliability is a key feature of the new parking system, which remains fully operational even during network outages. Additionally, the Harmony cloud command center provides 24/7 real-time monitoring, enabling remote incident detection and rapid response to any hardware malfunctions.
The Shenzhen Bay Park currently manages 976 parking spaces, handling approximately 2,700 vehicles on weekdays and up to 4,800 on weekends. While all parking areas operate 24 hours a day, the rules vary by location.
No reservation is required for parking lots 1 and 2. For parking lots 4,5,7 and 8, reservations are mandatory on weekends and holidays, while on weekdays, these lots operate on a first-come, first-served basis, though advance booking remains an option for convenience.
