Futian District-headquartered Xunwang Innovation Technology (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd. received assistance from the GoGBA Business Support Center (Futian) when it sought to expand into Hong Kong.

The tech enterprise, specializing in electromagnetic waves and edge AI, faced initial hurdles regarding registration procedures and the selection of a suitable industrial park. The GoGBA Business Support Center provided a comprehensive roadmap for the company to address these challenges. The roadmap detailed the steps required for company incorporation and recommended strategic locations such as the Hong Kong Science Park and the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park based on the company's technical focus.

The center also connected the firm with the Startup Navigation seminars hosted by the Hong Kong Talent Engage Office under the Labour and Welfare Bureau to facilitate access to government funding and incubation resources.

By consolidating fragmented information and professional resources, the GoGBA Business Support Center enables enterprises to execute their Hong Kong expansion more efficiently. It leverages the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s (HKTDC) GoGlobal CONNECT platform, which was launched in April 2024. This global network integrates resources from 51 overseas offices and collaborates with over 300 national-level chambers of commerce. By linking directly with local Chinese chambers and trade associations worldwide, the platform provides Chinese enterprises with an efficient channel to enter international markets.

The GoGlobal CONNECT network spans regions including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. It features a specialized cross-sector professional service platform that aggregates expertise in eight core fields, such as finance, law, accounting, and logistics. The network allows companies to quickly connect with essential services tailored to specific international markets.

Currently, the Futian-based support center has established regular contact with eight international chambers of commerce based in Hong Kong, alongside various local industry associations, to foster continuous cross-regional industrial cooperation.

Through a strategic combination of industry associations, authoritative certifications, and professional services, the center has created a repeatable model that guides companies from Shenzhen through Hong Kong and onto the global stage.

Beyond networking, the center addresses the physical and operational needs of expanding firms by working with platforms like Cyberport and the Hong Kong Science Park to provide cross-border office spaces, R&D collaboration, and incubation resources. To offer a full range of services, the center integrates cross-border financial and legal support from institutions like Bank of China, DBS Bank, and CITIC Bank, while firms such as Yingke Global and Jingrui Innovation provide one-stop solutions for compliance, bank account opening, and localized operations.

By consolidating fragmented information and professional resources, the GoGBA Business Support Center enables enterprises to execute their Hong Kong expansion more efficiently.
