1st direct air route between Shenzhen and Nepal launches

The first regular direct passenger air route between Shenzhen and Nepal commenced operations Friday. The Shenzhen–Kathmandu route is operated by Himalaya Airlines, a Sino‑Nepalese joint venture, using an Airbus A320 aircraft. 

Flights run twice a week on a fixed schedule. The outbound flight (H9986) takes off from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport at 5:55 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays, landing in Kathmandu at 8:35 a.m. local time. The return flight (H9985) departs from Kathmandu at 9:50 p.m. local time on Tuesdays and Thursdays, arriving in Shenzhen at 4:30 a.m. the next day.
