UWORLD, a dedicated consumer humanoid brand under Shenzhen-based humanoid robot maker UBTECH Robotics, officially launched the global pre-sale of what the firm calls the world’s first full-size bionic consumer humanoid robot yesterday, exclusively on the Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com.
Designed primarily as an emotional companion robot, the new model is scheduled for its official release June 30.
The pre-sale offers two versions: a male model standing 183 cm and weighing 42 kg, and a female counterpart at 168 cm and 35.2 kg. Both are equipped with 88 high-precision degrees of freedom (DOF) motion joints, enabling exceptionally smooth and lifelike bionic movements.
These robots provide 2 to 4 hours of continuous operation per charge and support Wi-Fi connectivity. The pre-sale campaign runs until July 15, requiring a refundable deposit of 3,000 yuan (US$440). The latest deliveries are scheduled for September 15, with final retail pricing to be unveiled at the official launch event.
Introduced by UBTECH founder Zhou Jian on May 20, the UWORLD brand focuses on family companionship, elderly care, education, and household services.
According to UBTECH ’s 2025 financial report, the company delivered 1,079 industrial humanoid robots last year, generating 821 million yuan in revenue from the full-size intelligent humanoid robots, a strong financial foundation driving the firm's expansion into the next-generation bionic consumer humanoid robot market.
As humanoid robots move from promotional exhibits to practical applications in homes, logistics, and manufacturing, the transition toward mass production is expected to gain momentum.
According to China Media Group, domestic shipments in China reached approximately 18,000 units in 2025 and are forecasted to surge to 62,500 units by 2026.
