Nespresso launches new coffee machine at MixC Shenzhen Bay

Nespresso last week held a launch event for its award-winning VERTUO UP coffee machine at its MixC Shenzhen Bay store in Nanshan District and the event featured promotional videos starring brand ambassadors, American singer Dua Lipa and Chinese table tennis star Wang Chuqin.

Having already obtained a 2026 iF Design Award in the kitchen appliance category for its minimalist look and user-friendly features, the VERTUO UP went on sale May 23.

To celebrate the Swiss brand’s 40th anniversary, Nespresso launched the machine along with a selection of limited-edition iced coffees and seasonal accessories.

Designed as a "compact home café," the VERTUO UP prioritizes speed, extraction quality, and space efficiency. Despite its powerful performance, the machine is tailor-made for urban living. Its side surface is roughly the size of an A4 sheet of paper, and the 1.4-liter water tank can be rotated to maximize counter space. Available in several understated colors, the machine also features a convenient one-touch capsule compartment for easy, one-handed operation.

The Vertuo line offers more than 30 coffee varieties, ranging from single-origin beans to specialty blends. With frequent limited-edition releases and collaborations, Nespresso continues to provide coffee enthusiasts with an ever-expanding world of flavors to explore at home.

With summer in full swing, Nespresso has also unveiled two limited-edition iced coffees. The Barista Creations Iced Coffee Yuzu Vanilla features a 100% Arabica blend, combining the bright, clean taste of yuzu with the subtle sweetness of vanilla — a nostalgic nod to 1980s-inspired citrus and pastry notes. For a tropical twist, the Iced Coconut Vanilla blends coconut and vanilla with ice, perfectly complementing the smooth caramel undertones of the Arabica beans.

Alongside the drinks, Nespresso has also released several accessories. The Shaker Baby Bottle returns in a lovely pink version, retaining its clear, vertical-ribbed design. A limited Sky Blue Wash Bag for travelers features a clean, minimalist look. These, along with notebooks and other seasonal items, round out the brand's 40th-anniversary collection.

Nespresso has also teamed up with Blue Bottle Coffee to introduce two collaborative capsules. The NOLA blend reinterprets Blue Bottle’s signature New Orleans–style coffee, combining Arabica and Robusta beans with notes of chicory and milk. The Blue Bottle XinYi Blend, made entirely from Arabica beans, is inspired by Blue Bottle’s craft-focused approach, offering a smooth cup with caramel sweetness.
