Guangming District continues to emerge as a hub for specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with eight local firms recently named to the second round of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s 2026 list of important “little giants.”

The district now has 23 important “little giant”enterprises, highlighting Guangming’s strong momentum in nurturing high-quality, high-growth SMEs. The district’s “full-cycle enterprise service”approach, which includes dedicated account managers, digital service platforms, and multi-level service hubs, has helped companies grow rapidly and steadily.

Guangming’s ecosystem supports SMEs across their full “lifecycle” — from innovation to “little giant”status — through tiered selection, dynamic management, and structured growth programs. Currently, the district is home to 1,175 specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative SMEs and 107 national-level “little giants,”providing a robust pool for targeted funding and support initiatives.

This year, Guangming has organized more than 20 industry matchmaking events, six financing sessions, and 28 on-site recruitment drives, creating more than 35,500 jobs and connecting enterprises with 184,000 square meters of industrial space. Technical cooperation between companies and research institutes has expanded to 20 projects, strengthening innovation and market competitiveness.
