School of Future Technology, a collaborative initiative between Tianjin University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, received official authorization from the Ministry of Education and formally announced its enrollment plan Monday.

The school offers a comprehensive range of degree programs, admitting both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Flagship disciplines include intelligent medicine, artificial intelligence, smart grid, and computer science. These programs are strategically aligned with the industrial clusters of Shenzhen and the broader Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Starting this year, the first group of undergraduates will begin their studies in Shenzhen. Under this joint education model, students will be awarded dual degrees from both universities, receiving official diplomas and graduation certificates from each university.

This partnership represents a pivotal milestone in the educational integration of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong region. Furthermore, the collaboration provides students with robust cross-campus exchange opportunities, paving the way for a seamless academic journey from bachelor’s through to doctoral studies.
