The Shenzhen International Museum of Art (SIMoA) drew crowds during a trial run Sunday, ahead of its official opening this Saturday. Situated in the core area of Guangming Science City, this new cultural landmark offers a diverse, multi-generational lifestyle experience ranging from professional curation to public art installations.
Exhibitions spanning from the second to the sixth floor feature various themes, with the highlight being the bronze zodiac heads from the Old Summer Palace. Additionally, the "Realm of the Masters" exhibition, running from May 30 to August 31, comes highly recommended.
At the building's center, the circular "Window of Art" has captivated visitors. Constructed with hundreds of metal cables and acrylic panels, this modern interpretation of a traditional Moon Gate uses integrated lighting to dynamically depict the lunar cycle.
