Discounted train tickets for seniors go on sale

Passengers aged 60 or older can receive a 10% discount on selected high-speed and bullet trains in China for weekday travel from May 29 to June 30, excluding the Dragon Boat Festival period (June 18-22).

The discounted fares apply to trains departing between Monday 12:00 (noon) and Friday 12:00 (noon).

Eligible passengers must present one of the following valid documents when purchasing discounted tickets:

PRC Resident ID Card

Hong Kong and Macao Residence Permit

Taiwan Residence Permit

Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents

Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents

Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card

Temporary Identification Certificate

Household Register

Discounted ticket sales have started today, and passengers can purchase tickets via the official “铁路12306” app or at railway stations.
