The Pingshan District Government Service Center has recently been upgraded with HarmonyOS, addressing long-standing challenges such as long queues, complex procedures, and repetitive form-filling.
By leveraging near-field communication (NFC) and multi-device collaboration, Pingshan has streamlined the full government service workflow — from consultation and appointment to queue registration, service processing, document printing, and feedback — making day-to-day services faster and easier.
For residents using Huawei phones, services can be accessed by simply searching “坪山智办” on the device screen. Queue progress and service-window information at the center can be viewed immediately — no app download or account registration is required.
With the HarmonyOS NFC, citizens within 100 meters of the government service center receive appointment reminders automatically. They can check in online and get real-time queue updates through notifications and alerts.
By holding a phone close to a self-service kiosk, users can automatically retrieve personal information and appointment records. Even without a booking, they can choose an on-site queue number — no manual input needed.
Similarly, holding a phone near a self-service printer enables instant document printing, eliminating the need for a computer or USB drive thanks to HarmonyOS end-edge-cloud collaboration.
Residents can also submit supplemental documents and complete electronic signing by holding their phones close to counter terminals, reducing reliance on paper submissions.
A single QR code supports 12 core steps, covering everything from appointment and check-in to document authorization.
An upgraded HarmonyOS 3D digital assistant provides voice guidance, explains procedures in plain language, generates QR code step-by-step guides, and offers 3D VR navigation to help seniors and children find their way.
At present, the platform connects 14 provincial, municipal, and district government systems. It also integrates with other local services such as iShenzhen and the Pingshan Enterprise Service Platform, providing more convenient support for both enterprises and individuals.
