Cultural fair to host 310 exhibitors from overseas

Building on its strong international presence, the 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) is set to feature 310 overseas exhibitors from 65 countries and regions participating both online and offline.

According to a press conference held by the Shenzhen Municipal Government Information Office on May 12, the fair has also attracted a total of 6,312 government delegations, cultural institutions, and enterprises from all 31 provincial-level regions of the Chinese mainland, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.

Scheduled for May 21-25 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao’an District, this year’s exhibition area spans 160,000 square meters, divided into three comprehensive pavilions and five professional pavilions featuring 34 specialized sub-sections. A dedicated APEC Economies Pavilion will make its debut at this year’s fair.

The event is expected to draw approximately 35,000 overseas professional buyers from 110 countries and regions. To bolster international business, the fair will host international economic and trade exchange activities, aimed at fostering global cultural and commercial integration.

At the press conference, organizers highlighted six major breakthroughs at this edition, including the use of an intelligent Cloud ICIF platform to precisely match supply with demand. The fair will also collaborate with the Shenzhen International UAV Expo and various provincial e-sports tournaments to expand its cross-industry influence.

In addition, several innovative initiatives will be implemented to stimulate cultural consumption, including a creative campaign to offer discounts and benefits to attendees, and a dedicated culinary culture area where visitors an experience “the taste of China” through tasting time-honored delicacies and intangible cultural heritage snacks. A total of 19 high-quality stage performances will be presented throughout the five-day event.

Apart from the main venue at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, 51 subvenues have been set up across the city to ensure widespread community engagement.

Doors open to the public at 12:30 p.m. on May 21, and at 9:30 a.m. for the remaining days. Daily exhibition hours run until 6:30 p.m., with an early 6 p.m. closing on the final day.
