X Square Robot, a leading unicorn in the embodied artificial intelligence (AI) large model industry, has established its headquarters at the China Resources Snow Tech City Tower in Bao’an District.
As the only enterprise in China to receive simultaneous strategic investment from four of the nation’s internet giants — ByteDance, Meituan, Alibaba, and Xiaomi — X Square’s relocation marks a significant milestone for both the company and the regional AI ecosystem.
The company’s decision to establish roots in Bao’an was driven by the district’s industrial strength and its proactive support for innovation, which aligns with the company’s growth trajectory, according to Wang Qian, founder and CEO of X Square.

A key factor was the recent unveiling of five major AI industry policies at the Qianhai-Bao’an AI Industry Development Conference. The policies provide a comprehensive support system covering technical research, data collection, model development, and intelligent manufacturing, offering what Wang describes as “comprehensive policy support” for the company’s acceleration.
As a traditional manufacturing powerhouse, Bao’an offers a complete intelligent robotics supply chain and a high concentration of scientific research resources. The robust industrial foundation provides the full-chain support necessary for embodied AI from conceptual verification and pilot testing to large-scale industrialization. Wang noted that the district’s ability to facilitate rapid product iteration is crucial in ensuring that cutting-edge technology can be swiftly translated into tangible products.
In addition, Bao’an has released more than 500 potential application opportunities in fields such as smart manufacturing, urban governance and public services, which can serve as a massive testing ground for companies like X Square to move AI technologies from the laboratory into real-world business environments, accelerating the commercialization of large-scale models.
Wang said X Square plans to leverage its role as a leading industry player to drive collaborative innovation across the upstream and downstream supply chains. By settling into the Embodied Intelligence Harbor, the company aims to break through core technical bottlenecks and lead the nation in industrializing embodied AI.
