The Hetao Science and Technology Service Headquarters, a landmark project in the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone, was unveiled recently.
Spanning a gross floor area of 198,000 square meters, the project is designed to serve as the primary interface for cross-border scientific and technological collaboration. Developed by Futian District, the new landmark is set to significantly upgrade the industrial capacity of the Hetao zone, accelerating its transformation into a world-class research and development hub.

Strategically located in the core sector of the Hetao zone, the headquarters sits directly across the river from the Hong Kong side.
The project focuses on three core industries: tech innovation headquarters, cross-border finance, and professional services. It will serve as a premium landing point for Hong Kong enterprises establishing mainland headquarters, multinational corporations setting up regional bases, and cutting-edge research institutions.
The site will implement exclusive policies including cross-border data pilot programs, professional practice convenience for talent, and the streamlined cross-border flow of scientific research elements.
The project is being developed based on the two major sites of Chegangcheng and the buffer parking lot. The Chegangcheng site will focus on testing international technological innovation rules, prioritizing frontier industries such as biomedicine and artificial intelligence to facilitate the commercialization of research achievements.
The buffer parking lot site will leverage its proximity to the port to focus on high-end business, cross-border services, and port-related commerce, establishing a tech service hub that radiates throughout the Greater Bay Area.

The area also offers a comprehensive suite of premium lifestyle amenities. Within a 3-kilometer radius, it is surrounded by multiple commercial complexes, high-quality medical institutions, and public schools. The area also includes extensive talent housing and boasts stunning ecological views of the Shenzhen River and the nearby mangrove forests, providing a balanced "work-live-play" environment for global innovators.
The service headquarters enjoys unparalleled geographical and transportation advantages. Situated adjacent to the Huanggang and Futian checkpoints, the site is currently served by Shenzhen Metro Lines 4 and 7. The convergence of the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Central Axis Intercity Railway, and the Hong Kong Northern Link Spur Line will create a 30-minute living circle with Hong Kong and a one-hour Greater Bay Area commuting circle, ensuring seamless connectivity for professionals.
