Embodied Intelligence Harbor unveiled to further aid AI growth

Shenzhen’s drive to advance artificial intelligence (AI) reached a new milestone with the launch of the Embodied Intelligence Harbor at the Qianhai • Bao’an AI Industry Development Conference.

The conference, which opened at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center on May 8, convened leading experts, entrepreneurs, and investors to chart a course for the high-quality growth of the AI sector in Shenzhen. Also, their insights are expected to help Bao'an become a global innovation hub for embodied intelligence.

The event also saw the launch of the Embodied Intelligence Harbor and four public service platforms, the introduction of new AI-supportive policies, and the signing of nearly 20 landmark projects.

Based in the Qianhai Bay AI cluster, the Embodied Intelligence Harbor offers tenant companies a comprehensive, end-to-end service ecosystem — spanning R&D piloting and smart manufacturing to product exhibitions, business matchmaking, and global market expansion.

"Our company focuses on systems for industrial embodied intelligence —  you could think of it as the Windows or Android for robotics," said Yang Yiming, founder and CEO of Moying Robotics.

"Bao'an is a manufacturing powerhouse, which is precisely why we chose to return to China and establish our roots here. With the support of the Embodied Intelligence Harbor, we can accelerate our R&D, supply chain integration, and talent acquisition."

Bao'an's robotics industry now boasts a comprehensive supply chain, integrating core components, full-machine manufacturing, and system integration. With more than 200 leading firms, including nine listed companies and two unicorns, the district stands at the forefront of the industry in China. Its competitive edge lies in four domains: foundational infrastructure, AI terminals, humanoid robots, and comprehensive solutions.

"The policy synergy between Qianhai and Bao'an acts as a dual-zone engine," said Zhang Qinyu, vice president of Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen.

"It facilitates a full-lifecycle chain — from incubation and R&D to design, manufacturing, and mass production — offering a scalable blueprint for the growth of China's AI industry."

The conference also featured an immersive exhibition showcasing the entire AI value chain, spanning chip-based computing power, algorithmic models, embodied intelligence, and practical terminal applications.
