AI accelerator wins national recognition

In Futian District, a specialized incubator is redefining the timeline for high-tech entrepreneurship by transforming startups into mature industry players in an average of just two to three years. 

The Angel Club · Thousand-Model Application (TMA) Accelerator has recently achieved national recognition as one of China’s first Standard-Level Science and Technology Enterprise Incubators certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

This accolade follows its previous designations as a Shenzhen Municipal Business Incubation Base and a Demonstration Base for Small and Micro Enterprise Innovation, underscoring its position as a powerhouse for the artificial intelligence industry.

Since its inception in March 2021, the accelerator has delivered a series of remarkable milestones. It has successfully introduced 73 technology enterprises, cultivating 18 potential unicorns with valuations exceeding US$100 million, 32 national high-tech enterprises, and 27 specialized and sophisticated SMEs that produce new and unique products. Collectively, these resident companies have secured approximately 5.9 billion yuan (US$867.41 million) in financing, pushing their total market valuation to a staggering 32.3 billion yuan.

Located within the Shenzhen New-Generation Industrial Park, the facility is a collaborative effort between the Shenzhen Angel FOF, the Futian District Science, Technology, Industry and Information Technology Bureau, and various industrial investment funds, managed on-site by Shenzhen Futian New Generation Smart Operation Service Co., Ltd.

The magnetic pull of the accelerator for AI firms is evident in its success stories. Boardstone Intelligent, a leader in high-precision 3D visual inspection for smart manufacturing, ascended to become a national-level “Little Giant” enterprise after joining the hub, securing partnerships with global giants like Huawei HiSilicon, Apple, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Reexen Technology, a pioneer in high-performance mixed-signal chip design, has attracted hundreds of millions of yuan in funding and government subsidies while assembling a top-tier research team. Similarly, Wisson Technology, which focuses on interactive service robot solutions, has completed multiple funding rounds and established a strategic partnership with DJI, becoming a benchmark for innovation in its niche.

Currently, over 60% of the resident companies — totaling 44 firms — are directly involved in artificial intelligence, creating a robust industrial cluster.

The accelerator distinguishes itself by moving beyond the traditional “landlord” model of industrial parks to act as a true “partner” in corporate growth. It has built a comprehensive full-cycle ecosystem covering integrated circuits, smart hardware, software, and new materials. This system provides streamlined policy applications, prioritized access to innovative application scenarios, and support for product internationalization.

Financial empowerment also remains a cornerstone of its strategy. Leveraging the resources of the Shenzhen Angel FOF and Futian’s various investment arms, the accelerator helped resident enterprises secure approximately 120 million yuan in financing in 2025 alone.
